Ohio Farmer's Challenge
Since Maingate began supporting the higher education aspirations of our community's youth 13 years ago, more than 39 Jane Addams Business Careers High School students have received $500 scholarships to attend the college of their choice. The money has been donated through the generosity of our Maingate business owners.
This year Maingate would again like to support at least four students pursuing college after their graduation from Jane Addams Business Career Center. To kick-off the 2010 fund, Eliot Gelb of Ohio Farmer's Inc. is challenging his fellow Maingate Member business owners to match his contribution of $500. Since his challenge was originally announced in the December, 2009 issue of The Main Dealer, Joe Turgeon of Zaclon, Inc. stepped up with a $500 contribution of his own to the fund.
With $1,000 down and $1,000 to go, Eliot put out his challenge in a letter to all Maingate members that should have been received this past week. Please respond generously and demonstrate that Maingate's member businesses support the development of our most valuable economic resource - our young people.
